Event Overview

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the iconic Route 66, Oklahoma City’s Western Avenue—a historic stretch of the original highway—will come alive with chrome, culture, and community during the Route 66 Centennial Car Show. This one-day, family-friendly event invites classic car owners, enthusiasts, local businesses, and visitors from across the country to experience the spirit of the open road through one of America’s most treasured highways.

Hosted in partnership with local organizers and aligned with the National Park Service’s Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program, the event honors Oklahoma’s central role in Route 66’s history while boosting community pride and local tourism.

Why Western Avenue?

Western Avenue is one of Oklahoma City’s most iconic and walkable commercial corridors—and a former official alignment of Route 66. Framed by locally owned shops, historic architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene, this location offers the perfect backdrop to honor the legacy of the “Mother Road” while engaging both new generations and seasoned road warriors.
