We’d like to welcome you to the Western Avenue Association! Our Association
was developed to make Western Avenue one of the hottest destination points
in Oklahoma City. With you as a partner – we can work together to make
Western Avenue a great experience for anyone visiting the area.
MEETINGS
Our members have chosen to meet once a month at various members’
locations. The meetings are held at 9AM on the first Wednesday of the month.
A meeting notice will be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to your business location
at least 10 days beforehand. We are working to set up meeting locations for
2005 so you can schedule ahead for the year.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is strictly voluntary, and we rely on a spirit of cooperation and
participation to make our association effective. We have an application form
which can be picked up at any meeting or simply call any of our officers and
let us know you wish to join.
DUES
We have set a dues structure that is affordable for everyone. Please refer to
the MEMBERSHIP LEVELS form for more information.
WHAT IS THE MONEY USED FOR?
The funds raised by our dues finance marketing and promotional campaigns
for the area as a whole, including graphic design and production costs for
promotional brochures, maps, area signage, ad campaigns, part-time staff
and overhead expenses. Also, monies raised will help with our beautification
efforts.
WHAT OTHER BENEFITS ARE THERE?
Because of our involvement with various other groups that promote not
only Oklahoma City but the state as well…we are able to bring our merchants
media opportunities at reduced rates. There IS power in numbers! Being
that most the businesses along Western are smaller, family-operated
businesses, we realize that advertising budgets are sometimes unrealistic.
Becoming a member of this association – you’ll have access to various
opportunities that you probably wouldn’t have otherwise been able to afford.
As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know other business
owners in your area as well as an opportunity to showcase your business by
hosting a meeting. You will receive the most current information on what’s
happening in OKC. You will also receive a great deal of publicity through the
distribution of Association brochures and joint promotions we produce
together to bring people to Western Avenue.
